Me and my husband's family got to go to California over 4th of July weekend, and stay at my parent's house. Utah has a lot going for it, but there is nothing that beats the beach, especially New Port beach. The sound of the waves crashing, the smell of salt and sand, the feel of the sun beating down on your skin; the sea really is therapy for all the senses. Except maybe taste, because I don't think salt water tastes that great. I also got to see some tide pools with my nieces and nephews which were pretty interesting. Very cool to see how creatures survive up close and personal!! I even touched a sea urchin.. |
We love America!!!! I got to take my husband to Yucaipa High School's fire work show, which is the same high school I graduated from. It brought back a lot of memories to lay on the grass where I hadn't been in over 7 years. It was a pretty decent fire work show, plus they had a carnival. My husband tried to win me a teddy bear but lost ): I wanted a teddy bear!!
We also got to go to Disneyland!!! The happiest place on earth!! I had such a good time going with my in-laws on rides. I never thought my mother-in-law could rush around to get on rides, but it was very funny to watch. We all got to be a kid again and just enjoy the warm weather. Disneyland is one of my favorite things about California so I was pretty ecstatic about sharing it with my new (ish) family. Plus, my sister works for Disney so she was able to get everyone in for free!!! Nothing beats that.. And look how cute all my nieces and nephews are!! We finally got the whole family together, which is pretty difficult for how big our family is (: Last but not least, me and my husband were able to get sealed to each other for eternity!! It was a super special day with all of my siblings and some of our extended family able to come into the temple with us. Definitely an experience I will never forget. |
So here is an outfit that I put together and wore to work. My shoes were from Aldo and were $25. I love how sparkly they are!! My skirt is from Down East Basics and was $11. My shirt was form H&M and was $5. My necklace was a birthday gift from my beautiful sister-in-law. My outfit was only $41!!!!
My tip of the day? Shop a lot!! I don't mean buy a lot, but go often. That is the best way to get the best deals. The more often you go the more you will see how prices go up and down for clothing. I try to hit all my favorite stores at least once a month, that way I can hit all the sale racks. If you don't have that much time, look online! I have a harder time with online purchases because I feel like I have to try stuff on, but some people swear by online shopping.
Thanks for reading and have a great week!!
