Well, what a busy couple of weeks!! Work has been insane, which is unfortunately starting to become a regular thing. So I like to relax by writing a post for my fashion blog.
Me and my husband had a BBQ for mother's day (shish kabobs... see below..yum) Unfortunately, my mother lives in CA and for some reason me and my mother-in-law can't take a good picture. So below is the only evidence of a well deserved holiday!

If you have lived in Utah, you understand how the weather can change as easily as a girl changes clothes. It's hard to keep up with the change, and I apologize that all my pictures are cloudy and overcast. Below: I got the shoes from Aldo ($25) and have worn them previously in my blog. I just got these new pants, aren't they cute?! I love the mint green color and they were only $15 from Nordstrom Rack. I got the shirt from a thrift store in CA for less than a dollar. The blazer is from Sears and was part of it's closing sale so it was only $11! My necklace was a gift from my mom and was free (: This outfit total was $52.
This next picture was taken at Tracy Aviary (where me and my husband started volunteering at weekly). My Tom's were expensive,$45, but they were for my wedding so give me a break!!! My pants/leggings were from Nordstrom Rack and were $9.95. My shirt was from H&M, which surprisingly has lasted a long time, and was only $5. My jacket is from Nike Outlet and was a Christmas present from my husband. So this outfit total was $60!! My tip of the day?! Do something nice for someone else!! It will help the world go 'round, and it will make you feel better. It's a scientific fact that when you feel good about yourself, you also look better ;) Whether its just paying a compliment to stranger, or donating money to a fundraiser, we all need to do our part.
Above is my husband helping children finger paint at the Tracy Aviary. If you ever get a chance to go, take it! That place is awesome and pretty cheap. I happen to love birds so it would make sense that we would decide to start volunteering here. It's great to be outside and with animals, which is two of our greatest loves. Speaking of outside, me and my husband planted a potted vegetable garden this spring. I will keep you updated on how it turns out. My first time gardening!! Actually I should say my husband did all the work and I sat on a blanket and painted my nails (how cliche). At least I got out there and enjoyed this beautiful place we call Earth!
