Well, I turned 25 on May 20th!! I'm a quarter of a century years old, ewww. Me and my husband celebrated it in style, by going to a five course Italian restaurant down town, called Cucina Toscana. It was amazing!!! I've never had better ravioli or prosciutto. Below is the caprese salad with prosciutto, delicious.
Here is what I wore for my birthday dinner (I like any excuse to dress up!). My shoes are from Nordstrom Rack and were $39, but honestly they are worth every penny because they are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn. My dress was also Nordstrom Rack and was $9.10. My clutch is vintage and was my grandmothers, so free. My earrings were from my aunt and also free. So this outfit for a night out was only $48.10!!!
My birthday celebrations continued the next day, me and my husband went to Red Butte Gardens. What a beautiful place!! The gardens were do lush, and the smells were just amazing. Below is my husband being a real mountain man. I was taking pictures of the great scenery and he put a weed in his mouth and said, "take a picture of this, Court!" I obliged... and now put it on my blog! (I love embarrassing him).
It was a great birthday, one of my favorites I've ever had. I got to eat great food, go hiking, and hang out with my best friend. I hope next year is just as good! Here's to being 25!!! So below it my outfit of the day. Yes, it is a bicycle shirt and yes, it has a peter pan pleather collar. I mean, what else could you really want in one shirt?!
My heels were from Nordstrom Rack and were $35. My pant are Michael Kors and were only $9.95 from Nordstrom Rack!!! What a find. My lovely shirt was from Down East Basics and was $11. That goes above my limit for shirts but I just loves it so much I couldn't resist. My earrings were from an aunt and my head scarf was part of a shirt. So my work/court outfit total $55.95! And just look how cute that shirt is close up.
My tip of the day? Dress up every once in awhile! You may have a life similar to me, where you don't go out all the time and you would rather stay in and watch a movie than go out to the bars... But getting ready for something can really make you feel good about yourself, even if your just going out to eat or to a friends house. It's better to be over dressed, than under dressed. Life is short, so you might as well look good while you're living it.
Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you keep coming back (:
