So, I rented out a cabin for the weekend, up near Park City, Utah. It was so beautiful!! We saw deer and beaver on the drive up to the rental, right off the road! I rented it for my gorgeous sister-in-law's bachelorette party, and got it for two nights so all my in laws came up the night before to hang out and play games. We went for a nice hike and then played Cards Against Humanity (which is super fun though pretty naughty), and had a BBQ. I had so much fun hanging out with my husband's siblings in a sleep over. We are all around the same age so when we get together you know its going to be fun, and a little crazy.
We are super hipster, I know. Me and my husband got the chance to volunteer at the Utah Arts Festival, in down town Salt Lake. It was pretty cool! There were performers on high stilts and a dance off competition. I had the best watermelon juice I've ever had in my life! There was also a $300 leather band watch that was seriously cool and I haven't stopped thinking about. But when would I wear a watch honestly? I guess I would wear it if it cost $300! Anyways, then we walked home from the festival and stopped by this new restaurant we've been wanting to try called Spits. It's a Mediterranean inspired restaurant, and was amazing. Best french fries I've ever had. If you go, make sure to order their street fries, yum! I wish I was there right now!!! This might be TMI, but we have eaten there like 5 times since the first time. Can't get enough of it!! |
So I don't mean to brag, but I really like this outfit. I got my shirt from CottonOn (which is a really affordable store that is better quality than Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe) and it was $9. The leggings are from Nordstrom Rack, and I don't know why but I think they are really fun to wear. Anyways, they were also $9. My sandals are also from Nordstrom Rack (shocking) and we $21. My Alex and Ani bracelets were a birthday gift from a friend from my sorority, so freeeeee! My outfit total was $39!!
My tip of the day? Go somewhere new! Whenever I feel stuck in a rut, I like to go somewhere I've never been before. You don't have to go far, just explore the streets around your home and see what there is to see. You'll be surprised at the things you discover. I recently went for a walk down town and found a house that had an apple tree that the owners wanted people to take some. I definitely took a couple (; So, really just see what there is to see and look at the familiar with a new eye. Have a great day!!
