Me and Gideon went camping in Idaho for a weekend, awhile ago. There's my cute husband not fitting in our tent!!!! -----------> It's his fault for being so big!!! We ended up sleeping in our truck bed because I really didn't think about my husband's size when I borrowed my brother's tent.... Sure was an adventure sleeping on uneven mats because there wasn't room enough for us to lay out our mats!!! Neither of us got very much sleep this trip. We got to go camping in Cub River, Idaho, with my brother-in-law's family for a fishing weekend! It was beautiful and remote, two great combinations. It was definitely worth the long drive, bugs and lack of sleep. Adventure on!! | Despite the setbacks with our tent and sleeping arrangements; me and Gideon had a happy camper sort of time!! Look how scary my eyes got!!! Kidding, those are marshmallows (: There is my first fish I've ever caught!!! It was super slimy and gross and wiggly but I loved every minute of it!!!! We even got to eat some of the fish we caught (I didn't clean it, yuck) and it was sooooooo good. It was cooked in lots of butter, of course. Can I just talk for a second about these two boys on the left?! Look how adorable they are!! They have been great friends since high school and now are in the same family which worked out really well for our vacations (because who likes going on vacation with awkward family members you only see once a year?) Below is me and my sister-in-law and her dog, so the girls. It was a needed reconnection back into nature and with family. I don't have a picture of the night sky (I don't know how to make it look good on my phone camera?) but we stayed up late into the night watching shooting stars and satillites |
Don't mind my wrinkly shirt.... I don't own an iron. Anyways, my new strappy sandals were from Aldo and were $25 (I love sales). My skinny, stretchy jeggings were from Ann Taylor Loft and were $11. Those are my favorite jeans and I think it might be because they are petite size, which not every store carries. My shirt was from a thrift store in California and was $2. It is 100% silk and vintage. I love it!! My necklace and bracelet were birthday presents. So, my outfit total was only $38!!!
My tip of the day? Buy clothing that fits you. It's hard to remember that if you're super short or super tall but you'll feel much better with clothing that fits. No one is comfortable with having to constantly readjust their pants or pull down their shirt. This was especially hard to remember when I gained weight after high school. I didn't want to buy bigger size clothing because I was going to lose the weight (which I did eventually) but it took awhile and in the mean time I felt even worse about my image because my clothing was too tight. Buy clothes that fit you right now, don't buy clothing that you might be able to wear later. Have a great day!!!!
